Terms of service
Effective from October 1, 2026
These terms set out the rules for using the services Cappa provides electronically. They are issued under Article 8 of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means.
1. Provider
The provider is Patryk Adamkiewicz, Godowa 1D, 38-100 Strzyżów, email [email protected].
2. Services
All services are free of charge:
- the blog: reading articles;
- the demo: the full app with sample notes, running only in your browser tab, with no account. Changes disappear when the page is refreshed;
- the waitlist: an email when access to Cappa opens. Joining does not commit you to buy;
- an app account: encrypted notes synced across your devices. Accounts are currently available by invitation only.
3. Technical requirements
You need a device with internet access and a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript enabled. In private browsing the app may not work fully. The waitlist and accounts need an email address.
4. Start and end of the agreement
- The agreement to use the blog and the demo starts when you open the page and ends when you close it.
- The waitlist agreement starts when you confirm your address with the button on the page the emailed link opens. You can end it at any time by removing your address with the same link or by writing to [email protected]. It ends when we close the waitlist.
- The account agreement starts when you register with an invitation. You can end it at any time by asking for account deletion at [email protected]. Before that you can export your notes from the app settings.
- We may end an account agreement for good reason, in particular a breach of these terms, with at least 14 days' notice by email, unless the breach requires an immediate response.
5. Rules of use
- You may not supply unlawful content or disrupt the service.
- Notes are encrypted on your device and we cannot read them. You are responsible for what you store in them.
- Only you know your master password and recovery code, and we cannot recover them. If you lose both, your notes cannot be decrypted and the only way forward is to delete the account and start again.
- We work to keep the service available, but technical interruptions can happen. We recommend exporting your notes regularly.
6. Risks of using the internet
Using services over the internet carries risks, including malware, password phishing and device takeover. Keep your browser and system up to date, never share your master password or recovery code, and check the site address before signing in. We never ask for your password or recovery code.
7. Complaints
Send complaints to [email protected]. Describe the problem and give the email address it concerns. We reply within 14 days of receiving it.
8. Personal data
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason, such as a change in the law or in the services. We publish the new version on this page with its effective date and email people on the waitlist and account owners at least 14 days in advance.
10. Final provisions
These terms are governed by Polish law. They do not limit rights that consumers have under mandatory provisions of law.
